Lufthansa Agents Engagement Day
On May 13, Turespaña actively participated in the eXperts Connect Day, an event organized by the Lufthansa Group that brought together top-tier travel agents and industry professionals in a collaborative environment.
The day commenced with a welcome coffee and registration session before the official proceedings began. Brendan Shashoua, Senior Director of Sales for Southeast Asia & Pacific at Lufthansa Group, opened the event and formally introduced the official partners for the day.
A key highlight for our delegation was the presentation of Spain’s promotional video and institutional pitch, sharing the stage with co-sponsor Jewels of Romantic Europe. Following the partner presentations, Lufthansa Group showcased its latest corporate developments, focusing on network connectivity, sustainability strategies, and technical advancements.

The session transitioned into a networking lunch where gastronomy served as a cultural bridge. Alongside regional specialties provided by other partners, attendees enjoyed a traditional Spanish paella, which stood out as one of the culinary highlights of the day.
During the subsequent trade exhibition, travel agents visited the Turespaña booth, where our team provided firsthand updates on the destination, introduced new tourism products, and shared strategic marketing tools tailored for the regional travel trade.

The event concluded with an exciting lucky draw, where Turespaña raffled a premium gourmet gift bag and an artisan Spanish fan, successfully closing a productive day of industry engagement.
This collaboration with the Lufthansa Group underscores Turespaña’s commitment to strengthening ties with the regional distribution channel, further consolidating Spain’s position as a leading, sustainable, and high-quality destination.
