The Tourism Office of Spain in India is pleased to announce the call for participation for the V Semana del Español 2026, which will take place in Alcalá de Henares (Madrid Region), Spain, from September 30 to October 4, 2026, with additional online activities scheduled on September 28 and 29. Organised by FEDELE (Federación Española de Asociaciones de Escuelas de Español para Extranjeros), the V Semana del Español is one of the leading international events dedicated to Spanish language education, language tourism, and professional collaboration within this sector. The programme brings together Spanish language schools, educational institutions, international teachers, agencies, and sector professionals from around the world. This fully sponsored professional programme is open to Spanish language teachers (ELE) from India interested in strengthening their professional knowledge, expanding international networks, and gaining first-hand insight into Spain's language tourism sector. Participants will attend academic sessions, workshops, networking activities, institutional meetings, and visits to Spanish language schools, while also discovering the cultural and educational offerings of Alcalá de Henares, a UNESCO World Heritage City and the birthplace of Miguel de Cervantes. The programme offers a unique opportunity to connect with accredited Spanish language schools in Spain, exchange experiences with international educators, and explore new avenues for academic collaboration and student mobility.
