Andalusia Blossoms Through Batik Art
Andalusia Blossoms Through Batik Art is presented as an exhibition framed within an initiative to promote Andalusia in India, driven by the Tourism Office of Spain in Mumbai, and integrated into a wider strategy aimed at bringing Andalusia closer to an Indian, interested in travelling to Spain through an emotional, artistic and experiential perspective. The project unfolded through the work of Andalusian artist Rocío Tovar, who proposed a contemporary reinterpretation of Andalusia through textile art, understood as a language capable of connecting territories, memories and sensibilities. The exhibition journeys through Andalusia through a selection of works that reinterpret some of its most representative landscapes, architectures and spaces. From major cultural landmarks to more intimate and essential enclaves, the project constructed a diverse vision of Andalusia, understood not only as a territory, but also as memory, identity and a way of inhabiting the world. The works of Rocío Tovar approached these places through a contemporary and emotional perspective, moving away from the idea of literal representation in order to focus on what endures: the atmosphere, the sensibility and the connection they create with those who experience them. Throughout the collection, historical architecture, open landscapes, villages, coastlines and places deeply connected to Andalusian history and culture come together, shaping a journey where tradition and the present coexist naturally. Come, meet the artist, enjoy an interactive presentation, followed by a captivating exhibition of batik art. Secure your space by completing the participation form.
