On November 12,  2026, the third edition of “Spain Talks” will take place in Helsinki bringing together leading figures from the Nordic and Spanish  tourism industry to celebrate excellence, dedication, and innovation in the sector, with a particular focus on their commitment to promoting more sustainable tourism. This year, we take a very local approach from a specific perspective: how gastronomy can contribute to more sustainable tourism destinations.

CONFERENCES

In its third edition of “Spain Talks,” the Spanish Tourist Office in Helsinki, in collaboration with its counterparts in Stockholm, Copenhaguen, and Oslo, has developed a comprehensive program of keynotes presentation and round tables discussions  featuring leaders from major tourist organizations and destinations in both Spain and the Nordic countries. This event will provide a platform for sharing experiences and best practices, while fostering dialogue, collaboration, and knowledge exchange to contribute a more responsible and sustainable future for tourism.

AWARDS

The Spain Talks awards recognize excellence and innovation in sustainability in the tourism sector. Their aim is to highlight and celebrate initiatives that contribute to responsible growth and the long-term sustainability of the tourism sector.Through these awards, Turespaña recognises tourism professionals, organisations, and partners in the Nordic market whose commitment and dedication have made a significant contribution to promoting sustainable tourism in Spain.The awards are presented in two categories, with awards presented by each of the four organising countries: Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Denmark. Media AwardsThe winning content should encourage reflection on tourism sustainability, addressing topics such as travel to alternative and less-crowded destinations, the preservation and promotion of their tangible and intangible heritage, or the appreciation of their natural and environmental assets. Experience AwardsThe award will recognise initiatives that demonstrate a strong connection with the local culture, gastronomy, customs, traditions, nature, and communities of the destinations, while offering visitors meaningful and responsible experiences
