On September 16, the second edition of “Spain Talks” was held in Copenhagen to celebrate the excellence, dedication, and innovation of the leading figures in the Nordic tourism industry, who have distinguished themselves through their commitment to promoting sustainable tourism.

In its second edition of “Spain Talks,” the Spanish Tourist Office in Copenhagen, in collaboration with its counterparts in Stockholm, Helsinki, and Oslo, has developed a comprehensive program of round tables and presentations featuring leaders from major tourist organizations and destinations in both Spain and the Nordic countries. This event will focus on sharing valuable experiences and best practices, fostering dialogue, collaboration, and knowledge exchange to promote a more responsible and sustainable future for tourism.

AWARDS

The awards presented at Spain Talks recognize excellence and innovation in sustainability in the tourism sector. With the aim of highlighting and celebrating initiatives that promote responsible growth in the industry, Turespaña presented the award to players and partners in the Nordic market whose commitment and dedication have made a significant contribution to the advancement of sustainable tourism in Spain. The awards were divided into two different categories and were presented by each of the organizing countries (Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Denmark): Media AwardsAward for the best piece of content on sustainable tourism in Spain, published both online and offline between June 2024 and May 2025. The content should provoke reflection on tourism sustainability by covering topics such as trips to alternative, less crowded destinations or highlighting the material and intangible heritage of these destinations, or their environmental wealth.

Experience AwardsAward for the best sustainable tourism product, recognizing the sale and distribution of packages, experiences, and offers that promote sustainable tourism in Spain. The award will honor those offering the strongest connection to local culture, gastronomy, customs, traditions, nature, and people in the destinations.
