Religious Tourism Familiarization Trip
Religious Tourism Familiarization Trip
The Spain Tourism Board in Singapore organized a dedicated familiarisation trip for travel agencies from Indonesia and the Philippines specializing in pilgrim and religious tours. The journey highlighted Spain’s deep spiritual heritage, bringing participants through some of the country’s most sacred and historically rich destinations.

The itinerary included Montserrat, Manresa, Valencia, Zaragoza, Huesca, and Castelldefels — cities known for their centuries-old cathedrals, religious landmarks, and enduring traditions. Designed to showcase Spain’s potential as a premier destination for faith-based travel, the trip offered participants a firsthand experience of sites that inspire reflection, devotion, and cultural discovery.

Spain offers a unique blend of spirituality, history, and hospitality for religious travelers. Through this initiative, we hope to strengthen our ties with the Indonesian and Filipino markets and support the development of new pilgrim routes that bring the stories and spirit of Spain to life.

This familiarization trip is part of our broader efforts to promote Spain as a diverse and welcoming destination for religious and cultural tourism from Southeast Asia.
