THE SPANISH TOURISM OFFICE PARTICIPATES IN EMITT 2025, REINFORCING ITS COMMITMENT TO SUSTAINABLE TOURISM
The Spanish Tourism Office (OET) in Rome took part in the EMITT 2025 fair, held in Istanbul on February 5th and 6th, as part of its ongoing strategy of collaborating in initiatives organized by tour operators. These initiatives, which are general in nature and not bilateral, form part of its international promotion plan and typically involve participation in catalogue presentations, professional congresses, seminars, and industry meetings. During its visit to EMITT — one of the most prominent tourism fairs in the Eurasian region — the OET held key meetings with representatives of the Turkish tourism sector, strengthening Spain's visibility as a destination and exploring new opportunities for collaboration. Additionally, various networking activities were carried out with professionals from the international tourism industry.
On February 6th, the OET will participate in the round table "The Path to Positive Tourism with Destination Leaders", focused on sustainable tourism as a strategic pillar for the future. In this forum, the Spanish delegation will deliver a dedicated presentation on Spain’s progress, policies, and best practices in the field of sustainable tourism. The event is expected to be attended by 140 tourism professionals, thereby reinforcing the role of the OET as a key stakeholder in promoting a responsible and competitive tourism model. These initiatives are part of the OET’s ongoing efforts to support the Spanish tourism sector in strategic markets, promoting a sustainable approach aligned with global tourism trends.
