4TH FEDELE SPANISH LANGUAGE WEEK

From 29 September to 4 October, FEDELE held the 4th Spanish Language Week in Madrid and Alcalá de Henares, a professional event dedicated to language tourism and the promotion of Spain as a destination for learning Spanish. From the Spanish Tourist Office in Rome, we selected a Turkish travel agent specialising in language tourism, who took part in the professional programme of the Spanish Language Week, representing the Turkish market. During these days, the participant had the opportunity to gain first-hand knowledge of the offer provided by Spanish language schools and the different destinations linked to language tourism, as well as to connect with industry professionals and take part in various networking activities and B2B meetings.

The programme included a Destination Fair under the theme “Spain, an ELE Destination”, workshops and meetings with agencies and industry professionals, working groups focused on creating new language tourism products, as well as various training and networking activities. The programme was complemented by guided visits to Alcalá de Henares and Madrid, together with social activities and the gala dinner and presentation of the ELE Sector Awards. Participation in this event provided an opportunity to showcase Spain’s wide range of options as a destination for learning Spanish in the Turkish market, while also facilitating the exchange of knowledge and the creation of new opportunities for cooperation between tourism professionals and ELE-sector stakeholders.
