Spain to offer more flights and seats from Europe and Latin America this summer

Iberia and Air Europa are boosting flights and frequencies to improve connectivity between continents

Spain is reinforcing its air connections with the Americas for the summer season. Iberia and Air Europa have announced an increase in frequencies and capacity on strategic routes, increasing seat numbers and consolidating Adolfo Súarez Madrid-Barajas Airport as a key hub for transatlantic travel.

Iberia: more flights and greater capacity with Latin America and the United States

Latin America and the Caribbean Iberia will increase its seats by 4% compared to 2024, reaching a total of 3.2 million seats between Europe and Latin America, with more than 300 weekly flights: - Buenos Aires will enjoy three daily flights, with the incorporation of three additional weekly services. - São Paulo will have two daily flights, with 14 weekly services. - Lima will add one more flight, with two daily flights starting in May. - Santiago de Chile will operate 11 weekly flights starting in June. - Montevideo and Quito will maintain one daily flight. - Bogota will maintain three daily flights. - Mexico City will maintain three daily flights this summer. - Rio de Janeiro will continue with five weekly services. - San Juan, Puerto Rico, Santo Domingo, Costa Rica, Guatemala, and El Salvador will maintain their daily flights. - Panama will have up to four weekly services. - Havana will be linked with three weekly flights The United States Iberia will increase its U.S. offering with 1.1 million seats available for the summer, 14% more than in 2024: - Boston will double its offer starting in June, going from one daily flight to two. - Washington will increase from four to seven flights per week. - Current frequencies will be maintained in New York, Miami, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, and San Francisco.

Air Europa: expansion in Latin America and the United States

Air Europa is also boosting its connectivity with the Americas, with increased frequencies on its most popular routes. Latin America and the Caribbean: - Quito and Guayaquil will have three direct weekly flights starting in June, eliminating the previous triangular stopover. - Asunción and Medellín will see the addition of a new weekly service, now operating daily flights. - Buenos Aires, São Paulo, and Lima will continue with daily flights. - Salvador de Bahia and Cordoba will increase to four weekly flights. - Havana and Panama will increase their offering to seven weekly flights. - Cancún and Punta Cana will operate five flights a week. - Santo Domingo will maintain its daily service. United States: - New York will see an increase from five to seven weekly flights.

With these reinforcements in transatlantic connectivity, Spain consolidates its position as a gateway to Europe for travelers from Latin America and the United States.
