Luxury, sustainability, and adults-only: new hotels in the Canary Islands
The Canary Islands reveal new hotel openings and enhance their appeal as a premium destination
With their stable climate throughout the year, diverse landscapes, and international connections, the Canary Islands have consolidated their position as one of the most competitive destinations in southern Europe. Within this context, hotel chains such as Meliá Hotels International, Barceló Hotel Group, Silken Hotels, and H10 Hotels have boosted their presence in the archipelago with new openings focused on experiential luxury, sustainable design, and adults-only accommodation, for an increasingly diverse hotel offering in Fuerteventura, Tenerife, and Gran Canaria. Paradisus Fuerteventura (Meliá Hotels International) Following Meliá Fuerteventura’s repositioning, the chain is now inaugurating its first luxury hotel on the island under the Paradisus brand. This spectacular resort, with 363 rooms and four pools, is located opposite Sotavento Beach in Fuerteventura and offers an all-inclusive service focused on wellness, gastronomy, and immersive experiences. Their programs for families stand out in particular, alongside their meditation and sound-healing sessions—not forgetting the MAHOS restaurant, headed up by chef Germán Ortega and based on sustainable cuisine. H10 Costa Mogán (H10 Hotels) Situated right on the beachfront at Playa del Cura (Gran Canaria), this adults-only hotel has been fully renovated and boasts two restaurants, plus a rooftop with Atlantic views, a beach club, gym, and a wellness program offering everything from yoga with sea views to cross training and aquagym sessions. Likewise, guests can enjoy a range of nightlife options such as the Mogán Lounge, transformed into a stage for live shows and music all year round.

Silken SAAJ Maar (Silken Hotels) Located on the San Telmo promenade (Puerto de la Cruz), this new 4-star, adults-only hotel is made up of 69 rooms, a spa, outdoor pool with sunbed area, and a sun deck that transforms into the Hawa Rooftop at night. Its Udo restaurant focuses on local and international cuisine, with a special emphasis on the use of regional and ultra-local produce. Royal Hideaway Corales Villas (Barceló Hotel Group) With its exceptional hilltop location on the Costa Adeje, this hotel offers 139 rooms, including 21 villas with private pools. Royal Hideaway Corales Villas presents a design that prioritizes visual connection with the sea and incorporates renewable energies, with a range of services including a spa, spaces for children and teenagers, signature cuisine, and exclusive activities.
