Letter from the General Manager of Turespaña

Dear tourism professionals, It is with great pleasure and enthusiasm that we announce the 5th Turespaña Convention, taking place from 7 to 9 October 2025, under the theme 'Experiences that Transform': Building the Best Tourism'. This year, the event will be held in an exceptional location: Cáceres, a historic and cultural gem designated a UNESCO World Heritage City. Organized in partnership with the Ministry of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Sports of the Junta de Extremadura.

Cáceres, with its cobbled streets, Arab walls and Renaissance palaces, is not only a destination rich in history and beauty but also an increasingly popular location for international film and audiovisual productions. Choosing Cáceres as the venue for this edition underlines Spain’s commitment to a more sustainable, decentralized and transformative tourism model — one that highlights emerging destinations, encourages off-season travel and connects travelers with authentic, enriching experiences. The Convention will bring together over 500 national and international tourism professionals to discuss the pivotal role of Experiential Tourism. Our aim is to reflect, share and collaboratively shape discussions around evolving travel trends, industry challenges and the opportunities that arise when we place the emotions and positive impact of travelers at the heart of our strategies. After four successful editions, the Turespaña Convention has established itself as a strategic forum for connection, dialogue and strategic planning. It is the place where TURESPAÑA, its international network of offices and the entire Spanish tourism sector jointly map out the pathways for our country’s international tourism marketing. This strategy would not be possible without you, our valued partners in international markets. Thank you for joining us, for your unwavering commitment and for helping Spain maintain its position as a global leader in tourism—now with a more human, innovative and sustainable focus. Warm regards, Miguel SanzDirector General of TURESPAÑA
