Green Spain by luxury train

Landscapes, history, and comfort on a luxury train through the north

Touring Green Spain on a luxury train combines the pleasure of a leisurely journey with the privilege of admiring our spectacular northern landscapes, all from the comfort of a suite on rails. The Costa Verde Express turns every journey into a complete tourist experience in itself, bringing together local cuisine, heritage, and comfort over the course of six days between Bilbao and Santiago de Compostela, with stops at some first-class natural and cultural sites. With departures scheduled between May and October, Renfe’s Costa Verde Express offers transportation, accommodation, and gastronomy: all in a single product aimed at the premium segment. The route, which crosses the so-called “Green Spain”, makes its way past tourist highlights in Galicia, Asturias, Cantabria, and the Basque Country over six days and five nights. This luxury train is made up of 24 "Gran Clase" suites, all equipped with full private bathroom, individual heating and air-conditioning, minibar, and safe. The four carefully decorated lounge cars, meanwhile, provide communal areas with bars, dance floor, library, a digital newsstand, and internet connection.
