With six active spas set amid natural sites of significant heritage value, Extremadura has reinforced its commitment to health and wellness tourism. Through to a new strategy focused on targeted tourism products, it aims to attract a specific traveler profile seeking experiences centered on relaxation and personal well-being. This initiative hopes to complement the destination’s wealth of attractions in the fields of cuisine, nature, and cultural heritage. These six spas form a distinctive network, each one offering up a real center for emotional and physical well-being. Nestled in serene surroundings just perfect for relaxation, they offer holistic experiences that combine rest, local cuisine, and an appreciation of natural and cultural heritage: Alange Spa (Badajoz). Home to Roman thermal baths, this spa is a listed UNESCO World Heritage Site with bicarbonate-rich waters recommended to support nervous and respiratory conditions. This setting offers a blend of history, wellness, and stunning views over the Alange reservoir.

El Raposo Spa (Badajoz). Located in Puebla de Sancho Pérez, this establishment specializes in natural thermal-mud treatments. Its sulfur-rich waters are used to treat rheumatic and dermatological conditions. Surrounded by agricultural and winegrowing landscapes, it brings together wellness with local gastronomy. Baños de Montemayor Spa (Cáceres): Located in the Ambroz Valley, this site combines modern facilities with an ancient Roman bathhouse. Its calcium-rich and sulfurous waters are recommended for rheumatism and respiratory ailments. This spa is located alongside the historic Silver Way. Fuentes del Trampal Spa (Cáceres). Set in Montánchez, within the mountain range of the same name, this is a peaceful destination in which to rest and enjoy some gourmet delights. The intimate center is surrounded by nature and located close to scenic hiking trails.

Valle del Jerte Spa (Cáceres). Tucked away in Valdastillas, this enchanting setting is surrounded by a natural landscape boasting over a million cherry trees—a truly captivating sight in season. Its sulfur-rich and chlorinated waters soothe rheumatic and skin conditions, while its special treatments include therapies designed around cherries and chocolate. El Salugral Spa (Cáceres). Situated in Hervás, this establishment offers indulgent treatments such as vinotherapy and chocolate therapy. Its bicarbonate- and lithium-rich waters are highly recommended for relieving rheumatism and allergies. The site is surrounded by pristine natural surroundings and a historic Jewish quarter of significant heritage value.
