Astrotourism in Aragon: unpolluted skies, unforgettable experiences
Unique experiences beneath a sky full of opportunities
With certified quality dark skies, a growing network of hotels and observatories, and the boost of unique astronomical phenomena, such as the solar eclipses of 2026 and 2028, Aragon has turned astrotourism into one of its most compelling tourism products. The community decisively invests in an experiential offer that merges nature, science, and enthusiasm, designed for visitors seeking disconnection, sustainability, and memorable experiences beneath one of the cleanest skies on the Iberian Peninsula. In Aragon, stargazing has become a premier tourist experience. Far from light pollution and surrounded by exceptional natural settings, the community has developed a solid infrastructure to attract visitors interested in experiencing the universe with all their senses. Teruel, Zaragoza, and Huesca have counties certified as Starlight Destinations and Reserves, a distinction that endorses the quality of their skies and the area's commitment to sustainability and tourism innovation. This is complemented by a constantly expanding network of accommodation options, rural houses, and certified spas, many equipped with telescopes, their own astronomy programming, or even integrated observatories. Centers such as Galáctica, in Arcos de las Salinas (Teruel), or the Aragon Planetarium, located in the province of Huesca, offer educational, recreational, and scientific activities for all audiences, ranging from night sky observations to space simulators. Aragon also boasts active astronomy groups and an expanding array of experiences, ranging from dinners beneath the stars and full moon tours to night photography workshops and introductory astronomy activities.

The horizon expands even further with the major solar eclipses that will cross Aragon in 2026 and 2028, two exceptional phenomena that will strengthen its position in this segment and its ability to turn the sky into a driver of tourism development.
