Andalusia is synonymous with fiestas and the popular fairs that take place there are a vibrant reflection of its cultural identity. Every year, thousands of national and international visitors come to these events, where music, gastronomy and flamenco dancing become the protagonists. Fairs are held in all Andalusian provinces, with iconic venues such as the Real de la Feria in Seville or the Recinto Ferial Cortijo de Torres in Malaga. Four must-attend fairs The Feria de Abril in Seville begins with the "prueba del alumbrao", [lighting test] illuminating the main entrance and the fairgrounds. In the private and public casetas [huts], you can enjoy food, wine and Sevillanas. For a week, the horse parade fills the city with riders and carriages and Calle del Infierno offers attractions for all ages. For the duration of the fiesta, traditional dress, with flamenco and country costumes, is part of the scene. The finishing touch, after seven days of uninterrupted celebration, is a fireworks display on the banks of the River Guadalquivir. In Jerez de la Frontera, the Feria del Caballo pays tribute to the equestrian tradition, with activities such as international show jumping, dressage and equestrian rally competitions. In Córdoba, the Feria de Nuestra Señora de la Salud combines the joy of Sevillanas, fine wine and tapas with the city’s historical legacy.

The Feria de Málaga, [Malaga Fair], in summer, takes place on two main stages. During the day, the streets of the historic centre are filled with music, flamenco dancing and people dressed in traditional costumes. At night, in the Real de la Feria, there are stalls with gastronomy, live shows, mechanical attractions and concerts by national and international artists. Andalusian fairs offer unique experiences for visitors. From gastronomic routes with typical dishes, such as "pescaíto frito" to equestrian exhibitions and flamenco shows.
