The OET of Rome is driving the promotion of Seville in Istanbul in light of the new direct air link between the two cities, operated by Pegasus Airlines since March 30th, offering daily flights. In collaboration with the Seville City Council, Sevilla City Office, and Sevilla Congress and Convention Bureau, the tourist offerings of the Andalusian capital will be showcased to the Turkish tourism sector based in Istanbul, with a particular focus on the MICE segment and luxury cultural tourism under the motto “Seville, City of Opera.” The agenda in Istanbul will feature a workshop with companies from the Sevilla Congress and Convention Bureau and a performance by soprano Soraya Méndez, highlighting Seville’s artistic talent. For 2025, Turespaña plans to strengthen its tourism promotion efforts in Turkey with initiatives targeting language tourism and professional events in key cities such as Izmir and Istanbul.
