Within the framework of the market presentations organised by Turespaña, the webinar dedicated to the Turkish market was held on 9 March. During the event, Tourism Counsellor Gonzalo Ceballos presented the Turkish tourism market to Spanish professionals interested in gaining a deeper understanding of its potential. The session highlighted the rapid growth of this market and its opportunities.

The event also featured contributions from Eren Lea Karlis (Unico Consulting) and Melike Durkaya (GlobeMeets), who shared their knowledge and reflections on the main trends among Turkish travellers and their growing interest in Spanish destinations. This presentation provided the perfect springboard to communicate the relevance of this emerging market, which closed 2025 with record figures:

• Average daily expenditure of €395 (102.5% higher than the average daily expenditure of international tourists).
• Average expenditure per trip of €1,943 (39.6% higher than the average for international tourists).
• Air capacity growth: the highest increase among international markets (+26.8% compared with 2024).
• Connectivity and demand:
  • 52 million seats on direct flights from Türkiye.
  • 27 million passengers (+21.8%).
  • 642,184 resident tourists from Türkiye visited Spain in 2025.
