SPANISH GASTRONOMY FESTIVAL IBIZA - FORMENTERA

On the occasion of the Spanish Gastronomy Festival held in Athens from March 16th to 22nd, 2026, the Spanish Tourism Office in Rome provided its support for the organization of this event dedicated to promoting Spanish cuisine in the Greek market. The festival, hosted at the iconic St. George Lycabettus Hotel, featured renowned Ibizan chefs Alberto Pacheco and José Miguel Bonet, both known for their commitment to local products, traditional techniques, and a sustainable culinary approach. Throughout the week, they offered an exclusive tasting menu at the hotel’s La Suite Lounge Rooftop restaurant, where guests enjoyed dishes that captured the true essence of Ibiza’s gastronomic landscape.

The program also included a series of Spanish film screenings in the hotel’s private cinema, with acclaimed titles such as Champions, The Olive Tree, and The Sea Inside, highlighting the deep connection between gastronomy, storytelling, and Mediterranean emotion The Spanish Gastronomy Festival in Athens thus became a true cultural encounter between Ibiza and Athens — two destinations united by history, sunlight, and the sea. Through this initiative, the Spanish Tourism Office in Rome continues to promote Spanish culinary heritage and the Mediterranean lifestyle as key elements in Spain’s tourism outreach.
