On June 19th, World Tapas Day was celebrated in Miami. To mark the occasion, an event was held to highlight the cultural and gastronomic value of this iconic element of Spanish cuisine. Organized by Lokal Kitchen and featuring chefs Aitor Garate Berazaluze from Edan Bistro and Dani Marín from the Ritz-Carlton, the evening included a dinner where the chefs presented their own interpretations of tapas. Drawing on their roots in the Basque Country and Catalonia, they showcased their versions of the most characteristic tapas from these regions, paired with a carefully curated selection of Spanish wines provided by Tasting Wines. During the event, guests were treated to premium versions of classic dishes such as gazpacho, croquettes, patatas bravas, bacallà a la llauna, Basque-style cheesecake, and crema catalana. This exclusive event, aimed at chefs, media professionals, and influencers in the gastronomy and lifestyle sectors, offered a unique opportunity to experience high-end Spanish cuisine and explore the concept of tapas, while discovering some of the most iconic dishes in our culinary tradition.
