On June 23, Los Angeles hosted the third edition of “Spain Talks. Caring for the Future” in the United States, an event that recognizes excellence, innovation, and the commitment of tourism industry leaders to the development of a more sustainable model.
CONFERENCES
In this edition, held on June 23 at the Mark Taper Auditorium (Downtown Los Angeles), the Spanish Tourism Office in Los Angeles brought together prominent representatives from the tourism sectors of Spain and the United States for a day focused on the social impact of tourism.
The event provided a space for sharing experiences, knowledge, and best practices regarding the key challenges faced by major international tourist destinations, promoting a more responsible, balanced, and community-oriented model.
The program included two main panel discussions: "Sustainable Destinations: From Strategy to Action," focused on the practical implementation of sustainability strategies in destinations, and "Tourism that Matters: Communities, Inclusion and Impact," centered on the impact of tourism on communities, inclusion, and the generation of social value.

The Spain Talks Awards recognize excellence and innovation in sustainability within the tourism sector. Their goal is to highlight initiatives that promote responsible growth in the industry in the United States. They are structured into four categories: - Media Award: recognizes the best media coverage of Spain as a destination committed to sustainability. Michel Schoenberger, Destinations by JAXFAX - Ambassador Award: honors the top advocate or content creator who has helped position Spain as a sustainable destination. Rose Montoya - Experience Award: rewards the best sustainable tourism product, valuing experiences and proposals that respect the environment.
