On-line marketing

The goal of this line of action is to make use of the full potential of the new technologies for the marketing of tourism and, in particular, the extensive capacity of Internet as a tool for information, promotion and the support of the tourism business in general.

  

In order to do so, Turespaña through the Sociedad Española para la Gestión de la Información Turística (SEGITUR) incorporates on-line information and marketing tools into its strategy, defined for the promotion of tourism and support to the marketing in the different sectors. Our presence in Internet is aimed at the professional sector, by providing them with a platform for working and establishing relations with other professionals, and at the general public in order to make Spain's extensive tourism possibilities known on Internet.  The goal, then, is to facilitate contact between users and professionals, on a platform for supporting e-commerce and marketing.

Spain.info is being translated into four languages (Spanish, English, German and French) and it will soon offer personalized versions for the leading markets (Germany, United Kingdom, China, Japan and the United States in 2005)

The on-line advertising campaign, designed simultaneously with the campaign in the traditional media, combines four tools: Search Engine Optimization, strategic alliances with web pages, advertising insertions in on-line media and e-mail marketing.
